Jonarun
=======
Font by Zephram & Doug Peters

ABOUT THIS FONT
===============
Type: Condensed Monospaced Sans.
I guess I would classify this one as: Casual, Tall, Tight.
Weight: Regular.
Web font: Yes.
Commercial use: Yes!
Derivative? Yes (from Chisato).
Derivatives: You betcha.
Redistribution: Anywhere (with the included documentation, please).

The Jonarun font was derived from Chisato font by Zephram.

Jonarun is a condensed, monospaced, sans serif font with varied widths and tapered or barely rounded, goth cut glyph line ends. It appears as a tall, casual, easy-to-read font.

Jonarun is also multilingual. It offers not only Basic Latin support, but also a complete Latin Supplement 1 and the Greek and Coptic lettersets for extended support in various langages. Additionally, it offers more General Punctuation, a few extra Currency Signs, and a few extra marks (TM, SM).

Although Zephram's work is no longer apparent here in this font, it exists in the underlying compressed letter forms and shapes of most of the characters that inspired me to give it a twist and turn it into a monospaced font with tapered (or subtly rounded cut) line ends. Often, the strokes of a single character will have different widths to give it a little flair, as well.

Basically (in a quick, non-legally binding summary), the authoring designer retains his Copyright to his work, but otherwise allows the public to use it as they see fit, including commercially, and including as a web font. Derivatives are even allowed under the proper conditions (different font reserved name, documentation updated to reflect the new work, and distributed under the same license).

Doug Peters (who is me) runs Symbiotic Design, an intellectual property management and brand marketing company. I also manage Font-Journal and many other websites, including web hosting and other technology websites. Still, my primary concern is getting back to my art and giving back to the world I live in, trying to make it better, and enjoying the human condition that is life (when possible) and interacting with it in beautiful ways.

DEVELOPMENT
===========
The Jonarun (as well as the Chisato) font was built using FontStruct.

This means that both fonts have an online development version with easy access to the editor they were created in. Each address actually allows you to clone (copy) the font into the editor so you can create your own font derivative (since the license allows it), as well.

This font, Jonarun, has a development home page at...
https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1597384/

Please note that the version of Jonarun in this official distribution archive is different from the development version found at Fontstuct, mainly because the development version will always retain the version 1.0 number no matter how many times I have updated it there. But this, the official release version, has been further updated using a font editor for correct version number and font info which enhances the font file.

Chisato, which is what inspired it, can be found at...
