Print Clearly Ruled font family by Jess Latham
==============================================

Print Clearly Ruled is a set of ruled hand printing fonts intended for educational use, and is especially useful for teaching kids hand printing skills. With everyone on digital devices, handwriting seems as if it's becoming a lost art. Jess Latham has designed and continues to develop the Print Clearly font family, recently adding this Print Clearly Ruled family of fonts as an opportunity to make things easier to use for educators that use his fonts.

FREEWARE LICENSE
This font is OK to use for commercial, educational, charitable or personal uses. Please see the Freeware License included in README.TXT for license specifics. All forms of web embedding (except creation software) is allowed for Jess Latham's freeware fonts, so consider this a nice web font (#webfont), too. If you would like to say thanks for the free fonts, please consider purchasing any retail font from his collection at Font Spring or My Fonts. This is especially true if you use any freeware font for commercial use.

NOTE: A special license is needed for the following: creation software embedding. Contact Jess Latham for more info and specific questions (see DESIGNER section contact info, below).

THIS FONT FAMILY
This ruled monoline hand printed font family is an expansion of the Print Clearly font family, also available at Font-Journal.

Each font is available in both TrueType or OpenType formats, but you should only install one type of font format or the other, not both. The Opentype fonts (with the '.otf' file extensions) have Postscript curves and instruction sets and may be more useful for graphic artists or those with Postscript printers. The TrueType fonts (files with the '.ttf' extensions) are what most people would install if they are just using the fonts in a word processor program, or in emails.

There are three total different fonts included in this archive:
Print Clearly Ruled Regular: creates example print text in a ruled format
Print Clearly Ruled Bold: creates a bold example print text in a ruled format
Print Clearly Dashed Ruled: creates a dashed text for kids to trace in a ruled format

This font family is a very healthy set of fonts to meet the needs of educators as well as those of us who print instructional lettering books to help kids learn hand printing the alphabet, numbers, and words. Yet, these fonts can also be used to create an educational feel to a work, such as help communicating a school stage setting for a video.

THIS ARCHIVE
This archive was put together by Doug Peters for Font-Journal using the fonts, sample images and license (in the README.TXT) directly downloaded from Jess Latham's official website (linked below). It has been rearranged in that all the fonts have been moved to the root of the archive so that they are all viewable in the Font-Journal.com online font repository catalog. This text has been added to document what's known about the font, the designer, the license, and offer relevant links to these sources.

This documented font distribution archive can be found at:

SHORT URL:

Or if that's too hard to remember...

This font is closely associated with the matching 'Learning Curve' cursive handwriting font by Jess Latham, which can also be found on Font-Journal at:

SHORT URL:

These two font families are really one and make a valuable tool when used together.
